Mars-Uranus Conjunction: It’s Too Damned Hot

Alright, our solar system is bringing the heat. Mars-Uranus is not a philosophical or thinking kind of force, it’s very physical, and relates to the direct and immediate impact of things in our environment onto our bodies. Flesh to flesh, soma to soma, movement and activity is the expression of Mars-Uranus and this conjunction between them in Gemini on July 3 2026 at 11:07pm Pacific brings the beauty of the hurt, the clash with carnality.

Let’s get real; astrology plays out in the everyday mundane. It’s not always a concept to discuss, a philosophy or a point of wisdom to seek and ascertain for evolution, especially in the case of a Mars-Uranus transit. 

Let me give you a direct example from my crazy ass life as a Mars-Uranus native experiencing this conjunct Mars and Uranus in Gemini transit.

(What Literally Happened To Clarissa):

Walking dogs, miles per day, at a very brisk pace, sweating and meandering through the neighborhood for miles. Crunched for time, my dog was pacing all night last night because of the fireworks (he gets spooked by loud bangs) keeping me and my other dog up for hours and disrupting sleep. As a result, we slept in for the first time in recent memory, running late for my dog walker’s arrival to pick up my pet for the Thursday pack hike. I have a full day of work, 10 to 12 hours minimum, business is full, my loved ones are blowing up my phone for various this-es and thats that I can’t track. 

I’m walking across from the local recreation park with my dog on a neighborhood side street and a sweet old lady with a tumor hanging from her face like a bag full of balls, walking on a homemade mop broom cane, skinny but mighty, stops to talk to me. I’m banging music on my earbuds, can barely make out what she’s saying, turn the volume down then she says, “Please, you hold my hand and walk with me.” So I take her hand. She’s gripping for dear life, and we begin walking to her unknown destination. Meanwhile, I have a used poop bag in my hand and my naughty dog is doing his sudden movement outbursts while we’re walking. I’m navigating balancing a human, holding her purse, a 90lb erratic dog, a poop bag, attempting to traverse the filthy streets of Los Angeles with rotting food, canine fecal matter, fentanyl addicts strewn in ungodly positions. We’re talking, she says, “My name is Emma from the Philippines.” And I reply, “Nice to meet you Emma, I’m Clarissa.” Then we cross a very busy major street, my dog walker calls my cell and I’m arranging sending her a building access code to pick up my other dog while I’m literally screaming at cars to stop and allow me and Emma to pass. The drivers were kind and do stop to allow us to walk, which is miraculous in L.A. 

There are clinics and homeless centers everywhere in my neighborhood and as I’m uncomfortably carrying this poop bag with Emma in tow, we stop for breaks, she digs into her purse and says, “I’m so sorry for you. I’ll pay you.” I see her pull out the $10 bill and I’m like, “No, don’t pay me, you keep your money, it’s my pleasure.” I’m not going to let an old lady pay me for helping her walk in our neighborhood. I think, what have we become as a society that we allow people to have to pay to get help? How garbage. Then I realize there have literally been no garbage cans throughout these blocks where I can dispose of the dog poop like, what a damn shame that a major metropolis like Los Angeles doesn’t have a damn trash can on the corners of streets, no wonder it’s so filthy. It pisses me off. 


Talking to Emma, it dawns on me that she’s sharp but also semi-incoherent. I’m thinking maybe she’s not responding or giving random responses because she can’t hear me and is partially deaf or something? I ask, “Where are we going?” and she responds, “From the Phillipines,” before I scream the question again louder and she’s like, “A block away at that yellow building.” We walk towards the building, coming up on it over the hill and seeing the signs, I realize it’s a pawn shop. Los Angeles traffic is notorious and treacherous, we cross again and I am yelling at cars like, “Dude, it’s a crosswalk.” 


We get to the pawn shop and I’m talking with the guy behind the counter asking him to give her a ride home. He says he knows her, she’s a customer. Emma tells me she’s selling her ring back that she bought from there because it’s too small, she says “I’ve been sick.” He promises me he’ll get her home, because I tell him she won’t be able to return on her own. He’s like, “I thought you were with her” and I’m like we’re total strangers I just helped her walk here. Like passing it off, bro, she’s a customer, do the right thing. 

I literally assumed Emma was going to a pharmacy or a medical center, no, she was going to the pawn shop. This woman is older, ailing and still kicking, rolling up to the pawn shop, period. I bet this guy didn’t think he would be giving his customer a ride today, but there we go, Mars-Uranus, get your butts on the seats in the vehicle and drive yourselves to your destination. 

As the conjunction is almost exact, stuff keeps happening. I helped a guest in my apartment building take her infant baby down the stairs in the booster seat. I saw her struggling down the steps and I was like, “Do you need help?” She said, “Yeah.” So I picked up the heavy baby, delivered her to her big brother waiting at the bottom of the stairs. “We gotta catch a flight.” “Safe travels,” she said, “You too.” This interaction reflects the 9th harmonic resonance of the Mars-Uranus conjunction, acts of kindness and connection in commotion. Literally, so many of my basic everyday routine tasks were met with random people catching conversation, helping each other out with a simple hello or literally physically helping take the load off somehow.

Minor stuff: dropping my phone so much screen protector is cracked, I’m surprised it still works. Almost missing stairs and falling. Various freak accidents and I barely save myself from injury every time.

Notes on Interpreting and Applying the Astrology

Nowadays it seems like astrology advertising is really focused on naming every major transit aspect as a life-changing, once-in-a-lifetime event. In a way, it’s true, these transits are big, but we live through them continuously, they all represent and evoke arcs of aliveness in the ongoing narrative of living. Seriously, every single day could be transformational because we’re simply alive. I feel like in astrology, reflective of the human condition, we’re always interpreting our experiences, trying to find the greater significance, and we forget that a bedrock of our lives is having a sensual body, moving and interacting with the environment.

In astrology, the conjunction is the reset, the birth of a new epoch of energy. In the case of the  Mars-Uranus July 3/4 2026 conjunction, that triggers a two-year window of events playing out until the next Mars-Uranus in Gemini conjunction on June 23 2028. Mars and Uranus will connect through various aspects within this two-year window, with each of these events carrying out the “mission” so to speak of the July 2026 conjunction.
