America's Chart Is Cracking Open and Our Insides Are Out
My last name, Dolphin, is indeed a real family name. I didn’t name myself. My great-grandfather, the son of an enslaved woman and a plantation owner, rebuked his father and gave a freedom name to his kin. His father, whom he looked exactly alike, refused to give him an inheritance, because of his African blood. They would argue on the plantation, in front of people, father and son, an oddity at a time when any act of defiance on a plantation could end in a death sentence. But my great-grandfather held his own, he did not beg, he went off into his own choosing a new name, Dolphin, he chose freedom in the 1800s.
I'm telling you that because I just spent an hour on Kari Samuels' show talking about America's birth chart and every transit we covered is doing exactly what my great-grandfather did: dragging what's buried into the light.
The Chart
America (based on the Sibly chart) has Sun in Cancer, rising in Sagittarius, moon in Aquarius. Homeland-obsessed and clan-loyal, wrapped in a rising sign that will die for its beliefs. That's why this has never been one country. It's several, arguing under one flag.
The moon is the people, sitting at 27° Aquarius. Americans are diverse, individualist, allergic to being told what to do, inventive. It's also exactly where Pluto has been working for the past year, and where it stays for sixteen more.
Pluto Doesn't Do Subtle
Pluto on the national moon means nothing stays concealed, including the wealth gap, all our horrors and pain. But I believe this epoch ends closer to healing. We stop being able to perform and be robotic. This Moon-Pluto vibe brings our most recessed emotions, grievances, passions and desires to the surface.
Two Dates to Mark
July 4, 2026: Mars conjoins Uranus in America's sixth house: police, military, public health, employment. This aspect doesn't debate, think or talk, it erupts, and it's not just ours, the whole planet partakes in this same erratic vibe.
July 26, 2026: The Lunar Nodes shift into Aquarius–Leo, landing right on America's natal moon. With this Lunar Node transit, the signature theme is the advocate revolutionary. Many people will be fighting for collective rights taking community over crown. Stack that with Jupiter and Pluto already camped in that axis zone and the tally tips hard toward the people.
The Fall of Kings
Jupiter moves into Leo and opposes the national moon in 2027. Good news if you've never believed in your own power (I think so many of us will be surprised at how effective social revolutions will be). But this is bad news if you've led without benevolence, because the Lunar South Node in Leo means the bill comes due. The fall of kings is imminent.
The culmination lands October 31, 2027, when the transiting Lunar North Node conjuncts America's natal south node, with Pluto right there with it. This is a main event. Expect acceleration between now and then, not relief.
What You Do With This
Put your money where your community is. Rely on your guts, strength and instincts and use your voice. Literally. Talk to your spirit guides. You don't need a huge ceremony, just two seconds and the willingness to open the channel.
Power to the people isn't a slogan in this chart. It’s literally the whole celestial vibe.
I go deeper on all of this (America's chart, the nodes, what's coming for the rest of us individually) in my upcoming podcast WTF USA? The Astrology Behind the Madness, launching soon. If you want the full breakdown of the Lunar Nodes and how this axis is landing in your own chart, my course Lunar Nodes: Unstoppable Living is where I put years of research into something you can actually use right now.
