The wonderful Theresa Reed brought me in alongside Aycee Brown and Catherine Urban to break down some of the misconceptions each sign gets stuck with.

A few of mine:

Aries gets typecast as "a reckless, headstrong warrior ramming into china shops... a bratty, in-your-face type who will never back down." Sure. But underneath that is a deep, uncompromising commitment to truth. Aries will never trade its integrity to fall in line with anything out of alignment with core values.

Cancer (my sign) gets read as a "bawling, rom-com-watching goober... super sweet, super maternal." Some of that's true, not gonna lie. But I will fight. I am fierce. My biggest strength as a Cancer is holding it down and being a protective pillar for my community, no matter what.

Leo gets cast as the spotlight-hogging star of the show, when in fact so many Leos are actually the shyest people you'll meet, swinging between total boldness and acute self-consciousness. Leo's real superpower is magnificence. It brings out the best in everyone around it.
